Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping & yearend closer reporting. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns. Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and deadlines.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and report on budget variances.
- Audit Preparation: Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits. Prepare necessary documentation and respond to audit inquiries.
- Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Software Utilization: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) to manage financial records and generate reports.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
